This website is operated by Block Learning Pty Ltd trading as Authors Book Launch and Expo (ABLE). Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Authors Book Launch and Expo. The Authors Book Launch and Expo (ABLE) offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing tickets from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

  1. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at the legal age in your country, state or province of residence.

  2. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

  3. You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

  4. A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your ticket and services

  5. These are the terms and conditions which apply to all conference and events, managed organized or executed by the Authors Book Launch and Expo (ABLE), and form an agreement between you and us. We will not file a copy of our agreement with you. These terms and conditions are available in the English language only.

  6. By booking a ABLE ticket, you accept these terms and conditions. You should read them carefully before making a booking. We recommend you save a copy of them for your future reference.

  7. You acknowledge that the venue, timings, speakers and programme of any ABLE are subject to reasonable changes.

  8. The unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited at ABLE.

  9. If you choose not to attend the ABLE event, your ticket fee and/or other related event fees will not be refunded. 

  10. Please ensure you take care of your personal possessions during any ABLE event as we will not accept any liability for them.

  11. Official professional filming and photography may take place at the Authors Book Launch and Expo. You consent to your image and likeness being used in marketing and films without any payment to you.

  12. For the safety of all attendees, the ABLE event are ‘weapons free’ and all conference participants, including staff, volunteers, and attendees, are banned from possessing any object or substance intended to cause injury to others, including but not limited to firearms.

  13. The Authors Book Launch and Expo are committed to creating an environment where everyone can participate without harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind. All event participants must be treated with respect and consideration. Registration for the conference is considered an agreement to abide by this code of conduct.

  14. Harassment of any participant (attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, staff member, service provider, organizer, or meeting guest) will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behavior includes (but is not limited to) unwanted verbal attention, unwanted touching, intimidation, stalking, shaming, or bullying. 

  15. Discrimination on the basis of gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, national origin, or ethnicity will not be tolerated. Harassment presented in a joking manner is still harassment and constitutes unacceptable behavior. Retaliation for reporting harassment is also unacceptable, as is reporting an incident in bad faith.

  16. In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in the event, you hereby warrant and represent that you are age 18 or above and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue ABLE or its members, employees, board members, agents, or volunteers for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, illness, including but not limited to COVID-19, disability, property damage, or property theft or actions of any kind that you may hereafter suffer or sustain before, during, or after the event, unless said expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, illness, disability, property damage or property theft or actions of any kind is caused by the sole, gross negligence of ABLE.  This Liability Waiver and Release is specifically binding upon your heirs and assigns and is knowingly given. 

  17. Authors are expected to attend the conference in person to present their keynotes, share their ideas and launch their books. 

  18. We may revise our terms and conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes in relevant laws or regulatory requirements or improvements we make to the ABLE Event.

  19. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Australian law and the parties agree that the Australian courts shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to this agreement. 

  20. These terms and conditions are a contract between you and us. No other person shall have any right to enforce any of the terms.

  21. We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.

  22. This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

  23. Your submission of personal information through the ABLE is governed by our Privacy Policy.

  24. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Authors Book Launch and Expo and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

  26. Refund Policy:All payments and deposits paid are non-refundable but are transferable to another person. In case the event is postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions, client's funds will be held in credit for the actual event to occur.
