"Ubuntu has taught me that true strength lies not in standing alone, but in lifting others as we rise. When women connect, collaborate, and champion one another, we transform not only our own lives but the communities around us."

A Soft Landing - A Memoir of Identity, Belonging and Ubuntu
By Khatija Halabi
A Soft Landing is a heartfelt memoir rooted in advocacy, written to honour the strength of migrant women, the power of community, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
It tells the story of starting over in a new country and transforming that journey into a mission to build inclusive spaces through grassroots initiatives, social impact projects, and her audiology practice.
At its heart, this book celebrates what it means to create a soft landing for others: empowering women, challenging stigma, and showing what’s possible when we lead with empathy, courage, and connection.
