BIOGRAPHY

Dian Hammond was born in 1958 in Manchester, England, and migrated with her family to Australia in 1960. Her mother taught her to write at the age of three, and by four, Dian had already completed her first book, a glimpse of the lifelong storyteller she would become.

Although writing has been a constant companion throughout her life, Dian kept her work private for many years due to social phobia. Today, as a proud mother of five adult sons, she has finally stepped into the publishing world, sharing her words and imagination with readers everywhere.

Now living in rural Victoria, Dian continues to write from the heart, drawing on a lifetime of reflection, resilience, and compassion to create stories that connect deeply with others.

The Book Showcase

This is Michael
By Dian Joan Hammond

This is Michael tells the moving story of a young boy searching for his place in a world full of contradiction. Through innocence, challenge, and self-discovery, the story explores what it means to belong, and the courage it takes to be oneself in a world that often demands conformity.

Dian Hammond was inspired to share this book after countless strangers, upon reading her story, reached out with tears, laughter, and gratitude. This is Michael is more than a narrative, it is a reminder that authenticity can heal, and that connection is found when we dare to be real.
